Maiquetía International Airport Simón Bolívar, is the main airport for international flights in Venezuela, with a volume of 8 million passengers annually and was established in 1971 and is located in Maiquetía just 20 minutes from Caracas.
Simon Bolivar airport has two main terminals, one for domestic routes and one for international routes. It also has an auxiliary terminal for loading and private airlines or charter which, among other destinations covering the route to the archipelago of Los Roques.
